The Fair City Singers are thankful for the financial support for their tour of Catalonia, which was generously given by the Guildry Incorporation of Perth, Perth Rotary, Stagecoach, and Jimmie Cairncross.
Very early on the morning of Friday 28 June, the Fair City Singers flew from Edinburgh Airport to begin their tour of Catalonia.After a rehearsal, the first day concluded with a poolside concert in the Hotel Checkin Pineda.On Saturday, after a busy day visiting the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, and the Cinema Museum in Girona, they performed in Girona Cathedral.Sunday began with a visit to the Parròquia de Santa Maria, the local church, and performing after the morning service.The day continued with a trip on the Montjuïc Cable Car……and ice-creams at the Poble EspanyolMonday began with an impromptu performance outside La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona…… included a visit to the Plaça Catalunya……lunchtime in the Parc de la Ciutadella…and a final performance in Barcelona Cathedral.
