Choir Leavers ’24: Holly

We are nearing the end of another term – again! Whilst it’s time to look forward to some down time and take a short break before we gear up for the autumn term, it doesn’t come without some sadness. The end of term usually means that some of our longest serving members of the choir will be leaving us, to begin the exciting stages of university, college, or new career prospects.

As we are about to have our “leavers concert” in Perth on the 18th June (which will not be without tears!), Holly reflects on what has been a fantastic journey with the FCS.

A second family

“When I started choir, it immediately became a second family to me, and ever since then I have looked forward to every week.”

Fond memories

“Some of my favourite memories from choir definitely was the tour to Barcelona because singing in those beautiful churches was amazing.

Another Barcelona memory, that i think everyone who went remembers, is doing a kick line down some stairs, and trying not to fall at the same time.”

What’s next for Holly?

“After choir, I will be going into full-time employment and maybe some college courses to hopefully set me up for whatever I plan to do in the coming years.”

Will we be seeing her at FCS again?

“I’m hoping that my schedule is not too busy, meaning I could return to the choir some weeks or come to see concerts.

“Choir has been amazing and anybody just starting choir, you have to make the most of it because time goes by so fast, and before you know it, you’re leaving.

Thank you to everybody who makes this choir a family it’s been amazing.”
